“Rucking is Simply Walking with Weight. RUCK•ING [VERB] // Walking with a weighted rucksack (aka backpack). It implies action, energy, and purpose. Rucking requires strength, endurance, and character — and builds it, too.”
You want to get in shape
Many people want to get in shape but aren’t ready to make the commitment to coming into the gym. Rucking is an easy way to get started! You are intentionally moving your body. You can join our rucks with or without a heavy backpack
You want to meet new people
It is easier to chat with new people if you are doing something. Walking and talking allows us to be more open with others. There is always a new face at one of our rucks. You don’t have to know someone to join us.
You want to explore nature
Dissent Ruck Club goes all over DFW. This is not a fast paced hike. We like to stop and take a look at the scenery around us. You will never be left behind and you get to explore some pretty cool places.
You want to feel accepted
All of our rucks are also Phoenix events. The Phoenix is a sober activity group that takes part in activities to build the sober community. We welcome all pathways to recovery and are a safe and supportive space.
You want to push your limits
Whether you are rucking or hiking, it can be difficult. It is difficult to get in shape, to meet new people, to explore nature, and to feel accepted. During our rucks you will push your physical and mental limits getting stronger with every step.
Head over to facebook to join our Dissent Ruck Club to stay up to date on all of our rucks!
